My 3rd year film My Day is the winner in the Undergraduate Animation category of the Republic of Ireland Royal Television Society Student Awards 2008.
Not only that but this win means that My Day will now go forward as Ireland's nomination in the Undergraduate Animation category in Royal Television Society Student Awards to be held in London in May. So fingers crossed it'll get through!!
Here's what the Jury said:
"A very impressive production showing excellent animation potential.
Combining a socially powerful presentation along with excellent creative skills in the world of animation, the overall impact of the film lies in the original idea, content and presentation.
Magnifying the size of the image to match the size of the emotional pain and threatening scenes was particularly impressive. The use of visual space within the film frame was very effective."
